#3: How to listen -1

The first step you should do to begin to speak your second language is to listen a lot. But how much time do you have to listen. In general, it is said that children listen to their native language about 2,000 ~ 3,000 hours to start speaking and I have listened to my second language English for more than 1,000 hours. However, I am now thinking that it is enough to listen about 100 ~ 200 hours for you to start speaking your second language. If you just start to speak your second languae, you don't need to listen a lot. I have already listened more than 1,000 hours, so it is only my speculation.

And now I am thinking that if you once start speaking your second language and you want to speak more fluently, you might as well listen a lot. Maybe after you start speaking, you need to listen more than 1,000 hours. The more you listen, the better you speak.

#2: How to begin to speak English

Making six videos, I'm surprised that I can speak English. Not fluently but as I cannot speak English at all before I started making video, it is surprising. Now I understand how to begin to speak English and,of course, other languages too, I list it up below.

1. listen a lot
2. speak actively

That's it.
Yeah! That's it.

But there is some difficulties or something like tips in how to listen or how to practice speaking.

#1: English speaking practice in Minecraft

I have made five English speaking practice video on YouTube since last week. This video is something like a blog, but I can not speak English fluently or correctly because English is not my native language ― my native language is Japanese, so I'm thinking of writing down the things that I wanted to say and was not able to talk about well.

Actually, there are many things that I want to talk about, but today I supposed to write one thing. The thing is "making mistakes". "Making mistakes" is important and necessary; especially necessary for your speaking without "thinking". Maybe I referred to it in my #5 video, but in general we speak or talk without "thinking". Of course we speak or talk thinking about its contents or else, but we do not speak or talk thinking about its grammar or accent or pronounciation. In other words, when you think about the language itself we can not speak the language very well. If we try not to make a mistake …
